Seller payout FAQ
Clear answers on the $50 threshold, payout timing, payout fees, monthly active fees, and auto-payout.
Sellers can withdraw once a store has at least $50 of available balance in Stripe.
Each payout deducts a $0.50 fee before funds are sent to the seller bank account.
Standard and fees_only stores accrue a $2 monthly active fee. Pro and Studio waive it.
What gets deducted
| Fee type | Who charges it | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe processing fee | Stripe | Each sale |
| $0.50 payout fee | 2DL payout model | Each payout |
| $2 monthly active fee | 2DL payout model | Monthly on Standard / fees_only; waived on Pro / Studio |
Monthly active fees are tracked and deducted from the next eligible payout instead of being charged immediately.
FAQ
Seller payouts use a manual threshold model. Once a store has at least $50 available in its connected Stripe balance, the seller can withdraw from the store dashboard. Sellers can also enable auto-payout so 2DL checks eligible balances on a weekly schedule.
The minimum threshold is $50 of available balance in the connected Stripe account for that store. Pending balance does not count until Stripe makes it available.
Each payout deducts a $0.50 payout fee. Standard plan sellers may also have a $2 monthly active account fee deducted if there is a pending fee for the current period. Pro and Studio waive the monthly active fee.
Yes. Stripe processing fees are separate from the 2DL payout fee. Processing fees are charged by Stripe on each sale. The $0.50 payout fee and any monthly active fee are separate payout-model deductions.
Standard and fees_only stores pay a $2 monthly active account fee. Pro and Studio stores have that fee waived. The fee is tracked monthly and collected from the next eligible payout instead of charging the seller immediately.
Yes. Sellers can open a store, view the Stripe balance section, and request a withdrawal once the available balance meets the threshold and Stripe payouts are enabled.
Auto-payout lets a seller opt into weekly payout checks. If a store has an eligible available balance above the threshold and no payout hold is active, 2DL can trigger the payout automatically.
After a payout is created, Stripe still handles the bank transfer timing. Typical arrival is about 2 business days, but actual timing depends on the seller bank account and Stripe processing status.
The balance remains in the connected Stripe account until more funds become available or the seller later reaches the threshold. The seller can still view the balance in the dashboard, but withdraw stays unavailable until the threshold is met.
